Advisory Practice

Advisory Practice

Independent systems judgment for executives and program leads managing complex programs, portfolios, and organizations. The trusted second opinion. No implementation arm. No firm behind it. No downstream engagement that benefits from a particular finding.

Independence Declaration

This practice has no implementation arm. There is no software to sell, no subcontractor bench to deploy, no downstream engagement that benefits from a particular finding. The value of independent advisory is that the assessment reflects what the program actually is - not what a subsequent engagement requires it to be.

Engagements are declined where prior or concurrent relationships would compromise the independence of findings.

Pricing Status

Price points are intentionally held pending further refinement. Service definitions below are stable.

Tier 1Retained Advisory
Executive Advisory Retainer
Pricing TBD
Monthly. Standing diagnostic conversation, written assessment notes, and response access between calls on material questions.

Some decisions benefit from a perspective that is not inside the building. The Advisory Retainer provides ongoing access to independent systems judgment - without agenda, without implementation interest, without a firm behind it.

Tier 2Fixed-Scope Assessments
Program Health Assessment
Pricing TBD
Fixed scope, defined deliverable. Written assessment with findings and structural risk identification.

Programs often look healthier on paper than they are in execution. This assessment examines schedule assumptions, supplier dependencies, staffing structure, and integration risk - identifying what the standard reporting cycle tends not to surface.

Systems Architecture Review
Pricing TBD
Fixed scope. Documentation review plus structured technical analysis. Useful pre-CDR, pre-award, or on inherited programs.

Technical architectures that look sound at the design level can contain integration assumptions that do not survive execution. This review examines whether the design, the integration approach, and the execution environment are actually aligned.

Independent Technical Review
Pricing TBD
Written technical opinion on a defined question. Formal document with documented findings.

A written technical assessment on a defined question. Useful when a program, organization, or legal matter requires independent expert judgment in a deliverable form.

Tier 3Flying Column - Rapid InterventionPricing TBD

Acute, time-bounded engagements for programs at a structural inflection point: Pre-Review Diagnostic and Program Recovery Assessment. Clean-entry, clean-exit model. Not a retainer. Not embedded work.

Tier 4Expert Output
Proposal / Capture Review
Pricing TBD
Independent technical and programmatic review before submission.

An independent review of a proposal's technical and programmatic credibility before submission - examining execution assumptions, risk framing, and whether the program you're proposing can actually be executed as written.

Hourly - Exceptional Use
Pricing TBD
Reserved for defined, bounded questions. Not the primary model.

For specific, bounded questions outside the scope of a structured engagement. Available on a limited basis.

Branch Provenance

People kept asking for the systems read. Advisory Practice is the formalization of what was already happening informally. The constraints were built in from the beginning - because the value of the judgment depends entirely on its independence.
